Independent Study

Students interested in advanced topics in Theater or Dance can propose an Independent Study course. Proposals for Independent Study courses should be developed in conversation with the faculty member who will supervise the course and should focus on topics not covered in other departmental courses. Students proposing an independent study are expected to have completed any course work in the department that would help prepare them for their work. Independent Study proposals are due April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. Proposals should include a written plan of study, learning goals, a timeline, technical requirements, a bibliography, expected outcome, and method of assessment.
